Australia Awards Scholarships - Intake 2027

Cambodians from all walks of life are invited to apply for an Australia Awards Scholarship.

Australia Awards Scholarships are open and competitive, welcoming applicants from all sectors in Cambodia, including public sector agencies, academia and think tanks, civil society organisations, the media and the private sector.

Applications are strongly encouraged from women, people with disabilities, people living and working outside of Phnom Penh, indigenous and ethnic minorities, LGBTQIA+ and other marginalised groups, with support schemes available to promote equal participation.

Eligible applicants must have been resident in Cambodia for at least two years prior to the application close on 30 April 2026 and have a minimum of two years of full-time (or equivalent) work experience.

Master's applicants must have completed a bachelor’s degree, while doctoral applicants must have completed relevant master’s-level studies, alongside meeting English language proficiency requirements.

Applicants from all fields of study are encouraged to apply, particularly for climate-related study, although scholarships are not available for general management degrees such as MBAs and related business programmes. Successful scholars receive comprehensive benefits, including full tuition, living costs, return air travel, health cover and academic and professional development support.
