Cambodia–Thailand Border Crisis: Business Updates and Humanitarian Response
Against the backdrop of ongoing Cambodia–Thailand border tensions and a fragile ceasefire, EuroCham Cambodia is convening a private-sector briefing on market impacts, business resilience and the humanitarian consequences of prolonged disruption.
The session will open with remarks from EuroCham Cambodia, followed by a moderated business panel led by Executive Director Martin Brisson and featuring representatives from EuroCham’s sectoral committees.
The discussion will provide practical, industry-based market insights on how the current environment is affecting operations and commercial outlooks, including impacts on tourism and hospitality, labour and workforce dynamics, transport and logistics, and FMCG markets. The panel will focus on how businesses are adapting, emerging risks to competitiveness and investment, and strategic considerations for operating under extended uncertainty.
The programme will then feature a focused intervention by UNICEF, outlining the humanitarian situation linked to the border crisis, its humanitarian and social implications, and how private sector engagement can support emergency response and ongoing recovery efforts.
The session will conclude with coffee and networking.
All participation fees will be fully donated to UNICEF to support its humanitarian response, reflecting the private sector’s responsibility to remain engaged and supportive in times of regional uncertainty.
