Details
Indigenous Festival, 'Water, Land, Forest'
We are proud to present this special festival as part of the official programme of the 15th Cambodian International Film Festival (CIFF)
For those who have heard about Indigenous peoples, and for those who have never known our stories before, this festival is a space for us to show who we truly are and to celebrate our identity. This is our first large-scale Indigenous festival, bringing together the richness of our cultures and the deep connections we have with water, land and forests.
What to Expect
Through this festival, you will learn and experience our unique traditions, strong spiritual connections, and vibrant living cultures, including Indigenous art, music, traditional food, clothing and fabrics, musical instruments, traditional games, jar wine gatherings, cultural rituals and storytelling.
The festival will also feature film screenings of Indigenous stories from around the world, photo exhibitions, forest sound and music installations, Indigenous fashion showcases and live demonstrations of traditional crafts such as weaving, painting and other handicrafts.
Organisers
This festival is co-organised by CIWA, CIYA, CIPO, CIPA, and the Kui Hai Organisation in collaboration with the Cambodian International Film Festival (CIFF), Bophana Center, and Remade in Cambodia, with support from the Pulitzer Center.
