Details
You are respectfully invited to attend an exclusive Penfolds Wines Masterclass. An evening of distinction dedicated to one of the world's most esteemed wine estates. This exceptional event will be held at The Pavilion, Rosewood Phnom Penh, situated on the 39th floor, commanding uninterrupted views across the city, the Mekong River and beyond.
The masterclass will feature limited-release Penfolds Bin wines, each exemplifying the Penfolds commitment to excellence and innovation. The highlight of the tasting will undoubtedly be the Penfolds Grange, Australia's most celebrated wine and a global icon of fine winemaking. Renowned for its extraordinary depth, longevity and precision, Grange represents the pinnacle of Penfolds winemaking achievements.
These legendary wines offer a comprehensive exploration of Penfolds' mastery of blending, vineyard selection and uncompromising quality. Guests will be guided through the heritage, stylistic evolution and enduring international significance of the label.
What to Expect
The host for the evening will be the president of the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia, Mr Ashley Irving, with welcoming comments by senior minister His Excellency Dr Sok Siphana and the Australian ambassador to Cambodia, His Excellency Mr Derek Yip.
The masterclass will be conducted by one of Asia's most celebrated winemakers, wine-and-food writers and wine judges, Darren Gall, who will be joined by two of Cambodia's finest palates and wine communicators: Eden Gnean, president of the Cambodia Sommeliers Association, and Seila Thai, Penfolds brand manager, Cambodia.
The ensuing dinner will feature Penfolds wines and the extraordinary gastronomic skills of one of Cambodia's finest chefs, Jan Van Dyk, director of all things culinary at Rosewood.
The night promises to be an unforgettable degustation, with Jan also creating specifically matched 'amuse-bouches' to pair with each wine during the Masterclass.
We shall be high above Phnom Penh, looking out onto new horizons and tasting some of Australia's and some of the world's finest wines.
We will be both figuratively and literally tasting wines above and beyond boundaries.
