Agenda
Day 1: Structured Thinking & Creative Analysis
Module 1: Framing the Right Problem
Learn to distinguish between symptoms and core issues, apply the Problem Statement Canvas, use SMART and gap framing, and consider stakeholder dynamics when defining problems.
Module 2: Root-Cause Diagnosis & Systems Thinking
Apply the 5 Whys and Fishbone diagrams, use systems mapping and causal mapping to understand interconnected causes, and shift from reactive to preventative analysis.
Module 3: Creative & Critical Thinking for Solutions
Use Brainwriting, SCAMPER, and Reverse Thinking to challenge assumptions and manage divergent and convergent thinking phases.
Module 4: Prioritisation & Decision-Making Tools
Apply the Impact–Effort Matrix, MoSCoW prioritisation, and decision matrices, and evaluate feasibility under constraints.
Mini simulation: “Fix it before it breaks”. A short team-based scenario exercise followed by debrief and feedback.
Day 2: Bias Awareness, Team Facilitation & Simulations
Module 5: Critical Thinking & Bias Awareness
Identify cognitive biases, use the Evidence Pyramid, and apply de-biasing strategies in collaborative discussions.
Module 6: Facilitating Problem-Solving as a Leader
Set ground rules, guide structured team discussions, handle divergent opinions productively, and practise designing and leading a workshop.
Module 7: Simulation & Solution Pitch
Work on a realistic multi-stakeholder challenge, apply the full toolkit, pitch solutions, and receive feedback on clarity, logic, and stakeholder awareness.
Module 8: Action Planning & Accountability
Identify a real workplace challenge, create a 30-day action plan, and define accountability mechanisms.
