Intercare Hospital is seeking a motivated graduate to join its growing operations team as a Billing Officer / Cashier Officer.
This frontline role is vital in ensuring smooth billing procedures, accurate financial documentation and exceptional patient experience. The successful candidate will engage with patients, insurance providers and internal departments, gaining valuable exposure in medical administration and healthcare finance.
It is an ideal entry-level opportunity for graduates interested in combining finance, service and healthcare.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Greet patients professionally while maintaining confidentiality.
Register and manage invoices for clinic plans, corporate credit and direct billing clients.
Prepare inpatient invoices before discharge and ensure patient signatures on all billing documents.
Confirm insurance coverage, provide cost estimates and secure guarantees of payment (GOP).
Collect payments and ensure billing accuracy, including authorisation for any amendments.
Liaise with physicians to complete and sign medical claim forms promptly.
Follow up with clients regarding outstanding invoices via call, SMS or email.
Prepare and reconcile daily sales reports, invoices and credit notes for Finance.
Submit credit card slips, supporting documents and cancellation invoices to finance and insurance teams.
Perform additional tasks and reporting duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Hold or be pursuing a degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
Minimum 1 year's experience in cashier or billing roles.
Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Good written and spoken English and Khmer.
Strong problem-solving skills and flexibility.
Effective communication skills and interpersonal abilities with patients and colleagues.
Attention to detail and respect for financial and patient data accuracy.
