The Deputy Head, Secondary (Academic) at Northbridge International School Cambodia (NISC) provides academic leadership across the secondary division, ensuring excellence in teaching, learning and curriculum implementation.
The role oversees assessment, data analysis and improvement planning aligned with the school’s IB standards.
It suits an experienced educator and strategic thinker passionate about delivering transformative learning experiences within an international school community.
Department/Function: Training & Organisational Development (Capacity Building, Coaching, Career Pathing)
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure alignment of student attainment and teaching quality with school development goals.
Lead curriculum leader meetings and support professional development across departments.
Oversee the curriculum structure and timetable, including allocation of teaching responsibilities.
Coordinate with the DP and MYP Coordinators on academic evaluations and external reviews.
Lead assessment, recording and reporting cycles in collaboration with the Head of Secondary.
Use academic data to inform strategic decisions and improve student outcomes.
Support recruitment, induction and ongoing performance development for academic staff.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
A recognised degree in education, curriculum design or a related field.
Extensive teaching or leadership experience in international education.
Proven experience with IB programmes and a strong understanding of holistic learning.
Demonstrated ability to lead curriculum development and manage academic performance.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with fluency in English.
Skilled in ManageBac, ISAMS, Microsoft Office and data-informed decision-making.
Strong commitment to staff development, collaboration and student wellbeing.
