The King’s School, Vattanacville is seeking a detail-orientated and proactive Finance Assistant to join its Finance Department.

This role provides essential support with daily financial tasks, transaction processing and reporting procedures. Working in a dynamic international school environment, the Finance Assistant will contribute to the financial accuracy and efficiency of the school’s operations.

Strong communication in English and the ability to manage sensitive data with integrity are key attributes for this position.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, documents and reports.

  • Process invoices, receipts and payments accurately and on time.

  • Perform daily bookkeeping and reconciliation tasks.

  • Monitor school expenses, including petty cash, ensuring accurate record-keeping.

  • Prepare and organise supporting documentation for audits and financial reviews.

  • Maintain an organised filing system for both digital and paper-based financial records.

  • Liaise with vendors and internal departments regarding payment and invoice queries.

  • Support payroll processing by collecting and verifying staff timesheets and attendance.

  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing procedures as required.

  • Provide general administrative support to the Finance Department when needed.


Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 1–2 years' experience in a finance or accounting role; experience in the education sector is an advantage.

  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial systems.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks.

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work with confidential and sensitive financial data.

  • Willingness to learn and support a collaborative finance team environment.
