The Industrial Engineer role at Peng Huoth Group offers graduates the opportunity to work in a leading Cambodian property development and manufacturing organisation.
This position focuses on improving efficiency, reducing waste and enhancing productivity across woodworking, upholstery and assembly operations.
The role provides exposure to real-world production processes and the chance to contribute to measurable improvements in factory performance while working closely with experienced managers and technical teams.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Assist in observing and analysing current furniture production workflows, including cutting, shaping, sanding, finishing, upholstery and final assembly lines.
Help identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement in material flow, labour utilisation and machine uptime within the factory.
Gather and organise operational data from various production stages, including cycle times, defect rates and material usage for wood or fabric.
Help prepare clear and concise reports and presentations on observations, preliminary findings and potential areas for improvement for production managers.
Support the evaluation of factory layouts and workstation designs to optimise material handling and reduce unnecessary movement of furniture components or finished goods.
Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering or a closely related engineering field.
Basic understanding of industrial engineering principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Proactive, self-motivated, eager to learn and capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team environment.
Ability to work in a factory environment with varying noise levels, dust and temperature fluctuations.
Comfortable standing, walking and observing production operations on the factory floor for extended periods.
