The Web Application Developer Internship at J Trust Royal Bank offers motivated students or recent graduates the chance to gain practical experience in digital development within the banking sector.
Over a six-month, full-time internship, successful candidates will contribute to the design, development and maintenance of web applications that support banking services.
Interns will be mentored by experienced developers and work directly with a dynamic digital team, learning how modern web technologies are applied in a financial services environment.
Responsibilities
Communicate with users to understand requirements.
Work with team members or the line manager to analyse technical requirements.
Collaborate with other developers, backend and frontend developers and designers through the lifecycle of the app.
Design, develop and maintain web applications.
Identify, manage and resolve issues or bug fixes in a timely manner.
Maintain release notes, change logs and readme documentation for new and updated software.
Learn and adhere to compliance and data protection standards in banking applications.
Eligibility
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field.
Basic knowledge of C# and ASP.NET Core, PostgreSQL and SQL Server.
Familiarity with HTML, CSS and JavaScript for front-end development.
Understanding of CI/CD, Docker, Jira, GitHub, AWS and API development is an advantage.
Good problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
