DFDL is a leading legal and tax advisory firm established in 1994, providing integrated services across multiple jurisdictions in Asia.
This internship offers students or recent graduates an opportunity to gain first-hand experience in legal work within a professional, multicultural environment.
Interns will assist legal advisers and senior lawyers on a range of tasks, including drafting, translation and client correspondence, while developing practical knowledge of Cambodia’s business and regulatory environment.
Responsibilities
Provide administrative and technical support to advisers.
Liaise with government officers of various ministries and departments as required.
Review draft documents prepared by other staff to correct formatting.
Prepare client correspondence and general legal forms and documents.
Type documents and prepare presentations in Khmer and English.
Translate legal and regulatory documents from and into Khmer and English.
Assist with soft and hard copy filing, ensuring filing is accurate.
Assist in the coordination and preparation of knowledge management resources.
Undertake general administrative duties as required.
Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Eligibility
Holds a bachelor of law degree or is a student in years 1 to 4.
Proficiency in Khmer and English (speaking and writing).
Good understanding of Cambodian business laws.
Demonstrates ability to take initiative, be self-motivated and pay close attention to detail.
Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook and internet research).
Reliable and punctual with a high degree of confidentiality.
Prior experience in a professional services company, preferably a law firm, is an advantage.
Prior experience in a multicultural workplace is an advantage.
Additional languages beyond English and Khmer would be an advantage.
