Regional Comparison
Cambodia: $1,300 – $1,900
Senior technical leadership roles with training and supervisory duties typically earn cash pay in this band when accommodation, meals and travel are provided.
Laos: $1,100 – $1,700
Market slightly smaller; NGO and vocational roles moderate cash pay but still value supervisory skills and capacity-building experience.
Myanmar: $1,000 – $1,600
Economic volatility tends to compress cash offers; benefits often play a larger role in total compensation packages.
Thailand: $1,800 – $2,800
Technical supervisors and training managers in Thailand command stronger cash pay, especially in industrial or vocational settings outside pure development-aid roles.
Vietnam: $1,400 – $2,300
Manufacturing and training demand lifts pay, but NGO/mixed roles still tend toward moderate cash pay; higher-end roles approach the upper limit.
